We have been harvesting our strawberries in the polytunnel. Chestnut Class asked what they could do with the strawberries, so we decided to take them to Mrs Whittaker to ask her if she could use them. She was really pleased and said, “I will put some in with the apples in the pies we are making this afternoon, and I will keep some to bring in the Chestnut later.”
The pies were delicious and Chestnut enjoyed our home-grown strawberries that same afternoon.
