The perfect healthy activity for Health Week! Members of Oak Class had a lovely day in Etherow Country Park, for their first Adventure Day of the year.
A breezy day stayed mainly dry, apart form a shower in the afternoon, as the boys completed a three mile walk in lovely surroundings.
We fed the ducks and geese, before exploring the Country Park. The weir was noisy and flowing very fast after the recent rain.
In the woods we found a small cottage, which we think belongs to the Wolf, but he was fast asleep and not answering his door. Harvey even tried to find some magic keys.
Near the top of our uphill walk, we rested and tested the wind direction by blowing some very large bubbles, and watching them float over the trees.
The boys were excellent – carrying their own kit and taking responsibility for their own rucksacks all day. Of course, we followed the countryside code, and tidied up after ourselves.
We were all tired but happy at the end of the day
