Fishing on the Island

Willow Class have been on Forest School this half term. Their class topic is Islands, so we have been exploring our Garden as though it was an island. We searched for things, made a ship to take us off, and then tried our hand at fishing in the pond. This is a good activity for helping to develop coordination and fine motor skills, as well as being great fun! The grown ups had just as much fun playing it as the class! Of course our fishing rods are made from our own harvested willow, and when finished with, they are added to the wattle fence around the Rowan Copse. Nothing wasted!
