For their last Adventure Day of the year Chestnut Class went out to the Piethorne Valley. Though the weather was not too good, we didn’t get too wet, and we enjoyed the long walk alongside Ogden, Kitcliffe and Piethorne Reservoirs, then through Bluebell Wood, and past the ruins of very old farmhouses. We walked four miles in all. There were lovely views of the valley from the top of our walk.
On our way we stopped to have our picnic in a farm field, making sure that everything was left how we found it.
